Field Service Engineer with over 25 years of international experience in on-site projects for industrial packaging machines and lines in the food & beverage sector, with experience also in PET. In my current role, I also operate as Site Manager, combining technical expertise, site leadership, and operational coordination to manage installation, start-up, commissioning, and testing through to project closure.
I plan and coordinate on-site and After Sales / Field Support activities to install, start up, and test new machines at customer sites, including FAT/SAT, start-up, ramp-up, and performance validation. I act as point of contact between company, customer, local teams, suppliers, contractors, and subcontractors, ensuring results aligned with technical specifications, quality, timelines, and budget, with full attention to safety, HSE, regulatory compliance, hygiene, and environment.
Key activities:
- Installation, start-up, commissioning, and testing of industrial machines and lines
- After Sales / Field Support: technical assistance, diagnostics, repair, and on-site operational support
- Preventive and corrective maintenance on machinery and systems
- Control and restoration of compliance with technical specifications
- Verification of machine operation in compliance with safety, HSE, and environmental regulations
- Technical troubleshooting, diagnostics, and problem-solving on site
- Support for upgrades, retrofits, and performance optimization
- Coordination of on-site activities and daily operations through project closure
- Implementation of safety plans and promotion of safe working practices
- Progress reporting on status, quality, timelines, and HSE
- Coordination with customer, local teams, suppliers, and contractors
- Customer training for start-up, operation, and maintenance
- Verification and approval of technicians’ timesheets
- Management of technical escalations toward Engineering and Commissioning through stabilization and handover to operations
Education: MBA in Project Management | Specialization in Leadership and Team Management | Degree in Business Management | Technical background in Electrical/Electronics
